A colleague writes:
“Several weeks ago I came across a blog [called Read All Day] written by a woman who read a book a day and wrote a review of each book read. After looking at her impressive list I wrote her and asked her to write something for Word Collage. I just posted her piece.
“She is now writing a column for a newspaper about books and Harper Collins contacted her about writing a book.”
Intrigued after reading the essay about her experiences, I visited the website site of Nina Sankovitch.
“In the past year I have read a book a day. Every day for 365 days. I didn’t just read, I also wrote and posted on my website my response to what I’d read, my personal and visceral reaction to the book.”
Ever wish you could read all day? Fascinating individual, and her book list and comments ought to ruin my resolve to buy fewer books this year. Check Read All Day. In addition, she has begun writing for one of my favorite online rags, Huffington Post.
And don’t forget to read Nina Sankovitch’s essay about reading all day titled Reading All Day that she wrote for Word Collage.
